In early 2015 the Central Area neighborhood of Seattle set out to create neighborhood specific guidelines to help support the legacy and future vision of the community. Sharon led the Central Area Design Guideline Collision (CADGC), a community group established to facilitate community conversations and to gather priorities from many different stakeholders. The CADGC worked with the city and a third-party consultant to write the guidelines for over a year. The guidelines were adopted into code early 2018. Soon after that, the Central Area Design Review Board was created.
