Positioned to take advantage of view of the bay and the surrounding countryside, the house lies at the end of a long winding drive and reveals itself as one approaches. The form of the house was derived from regional architecture and is a sustainable interpretation of the rural vernacular. The house is passively heated and cooled with a combination of a high efficiency envelope, masonry oven and well-designed window placement. A gasket separates the living spaces from the bedroom and allows the outside to flow through the house.
